Tucked Marline Eye Splice
Often used at the commencement of half-hitching, where a running eye in small material is required,
without a bulky knot spoiling the appearance. This can be useful also for eye splices in the rigging
of model ships. The end of the length of twine is tucked back through its own lay four times.
Tucked Marline Splice
This is a useful and quite adequately strong means of joining two lengths of small material without
using a bulky and obvious knot, which would spoil the continuity and appearance of decorative work.
The two ends are merely tucked twice through the lay of the other.
